We are working to end the discriminatory, intimidating, and oppressive policy of cash bail, which criminalizes poverty and has a disproportionate effect on low-income people, communities of color, and immigrants. Your generous donation goes towards providing bail funds for the release of community members from prison to avoid unjust incarceration & deportation.
Volunteer
Vermont Freedom Fund is run completely by volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering with us, there are several ways you can get involved. We’ll work with you every step of the way.
Sign up to meet people released from jail and drive them to the bus or train.
Sign up to help with other tasks such as data entry, thank-you letters, social media.
Join the Vermont Freedom Fund Steering Committee to carry forward the day to day work of the organization.
